Pulling Out All The Stops
From the grandest of sanctuary organs to the most compact of residential instruments, all of our original and rebuilt pipe organs are tributes to the individuality and specialized needs of our clients. Trained and experienced in both historic and modern philosophies of organbuilding, our craftspeople design and create works of art that frame innovative methods of meeting your requirements with the traditions of this centuries old craft.
We realize that every room has its own unique
acoustical qualities. With that in mind, every job includes a thorough acoustic analysis. We then blend your wishes and our experience to hand craft every instrument in our shop in Village, Virginia. We further realize the expense of organ design and installation, and as a small company with minimum overhead, we are able to serve the needs of everyone with big dreams and limited budgets. We invite you to explore the possibilities with our professionals who are as passionate about organs and organ music as you are.
NEW INSTALLATIONS are a monumental undertaking, even for the smallest projects. At The Rappahannock Organ Company you've got a team dedicating to fulfilling your space, tonal, and architectural needs while providing the maximum value for your dollar. Our latest project, completed in 2004, is in service at St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church, Richmond, Virginia. Our next new installation, Opus 10, is scheduled to begin in the spring of 2005 at Burnt Chimneys (residence) in Northumberland County, Virginia.

REBUILDS get the same dedicated attention as new installations and include not only the physical and tonal rebuilding of your classic instrument, but also any updating and expansion you may wish to pursue.

TRANSPLANTS are often an economical solution for organizations who wish to enjoy a previously owned rebuilt and tonally updated instrument. Our company provides brokerage and consultant services for the relocation of used pipe organs. Our most recent transplant project was at Bowling Green United Methodist Church, Bowling Green, Virginia. The organ was also expanded in addition to the transplant.
