Dennis Stephens - Organbuilder, President & Tonal Director
Dennis brings 33 years experience as a church organist and 20 years experience as a pipe/reed organ builder/restorationist. He is a member of American Guild of Organists, American Institute of Organbuilders, American Theater Organ Society, Organ Historical Society, and the Reed Organ Society. Dennis holds a BS from West Minister College, a BSN. from George Mason University, and a Bishops Diploma in church music from Virginia Theological Seminary. Dennis is the dedicated Master Organbuilder overseeing all work.
Denise M. Symonds - Organ Building Technician
Denise serves as a building technician on all phases of the project, and has four years experience in organ building, maintenance and repair. Denise holds a BA in music from Mary Washington University, and is a member of the American Guild of Organists, and the Reed Organ Society. Denise also serves as the coordinator for the Diocese of VA, LPM program, and is the Organist/Choir Director at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Port Royal, VA and the Organist/Choir Director at Vauter's Episcopal Church, Loretto, VA.
Mac Covington - Organ Building Technician
Mac joined the company in 2006, and has extensive experience with electrical wiring and systems. He is also familiar with organ tuning and installation. He has recently started playing the organ. He holds a BS from Emory and Henry College.
David Brannan - Organ Building Technician
David is the most recent addition to the Rappahannock Organ Company, joining in early 2007. David works on all phases of the project. He holds a BS from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and served as a nuclear trained officer in the US Navy.
